Take a Walk at Ivy Creek
to learn more about Virginia's
rich natural heritage
Welcome to a new series on the natural wonders of the Ivy Creek Natural Area. This project was funded by a grant from the Virginia Department of Forestry as part of the Urban and Community Forestry grant program of the US Forest Service.
This series of walks is designed to help visitors to the Ivy Creek Natural Area more fully experience the natural world around them and appreciate the need to preserve our natural resources.
Each walk focuses on a different theme, designed to enlighten all your walks at Ivy Creek. In addition, each trail described has a self-guided brochure that you can print out and take along with you when you visit the Natural Area.
The Ivy Creek Foundation would like to thank the Virginia Department of Forestry for funding, Dede Smith for development, and the photographers who allowed the use of their beautiful photographs, including:
Stowe Keller
Victoria Dye
Jim Sullivan
We hope you enjoy your walk!
